Yu-Teng Yan is a faculty member in the Department of Sociology at Fuzhou University and holds a Ph.D. in Demography from Renmin University of China. His research interests span health, family, and social research methodology. He is committed to advancing the understanding of social inequality through diverse approaches, including mathematical decomposition, microsimulation, and big data analysis. His recent work focuses on the evolution of lifespan inequality in China and investigates the complex interplay between macro-level structures and micro-level agency behind these changes.
